About
Hi! My name is Edyta Brenner and I sell homes. My friends call me Edy, you know, like the ice cream. I was born in Krosno, Poland and lived there with my family until I was 16, when I came to the U.S. and started my own cleaning service. I did that for many years, got married and had a wonderful daughter, Kaya.
I wanted to be a nurse, so I tried college, but, unfortunately, just as I got going I was diagnosed with Stage 4 cervical cancer and told I had 6 months to live. Well, you can guess that college took a back seat to living my remaining days with as much gusto as I could. After Chemo and radiation, my doctors told me that my cancer was gone! Yay, but boy did I have credit card bills!
I thanked God I was alive, worked and paid off the really big credit card debt I ran up when I was sick and, after a while, tried college again. You know what? My cancer came back again. I beat that and kind of gave up on college, lol, I thought maybe it was a sign that my future lay elsewhere. I worked very hard for many years at my cleaning business, had bought my own home and car and , since my marriage didn’t work out, took care of myself and my daughter. Of course, every life has bumps and mine is no different. I believe that you receive from the universe what you put in. I try to treat everyone I meet with respect and kindness. I worked hard and raised my daughter and then I met my current husband, Benjamin Brenner.
Ben is an attorney and the smartest man I’ve ever known (except for maybe my Dad, but I’m prejudiced) We were together for a few years and then we got married. It wasn’t long before we decided that my body was too broken after years of hard work and that I was too smart to clean other people’s houses and he convinced me to try Real Estate. I took the course and did really well; but that’s when Covid hit and it was six months before I could even take the test to be a Realtor. In spite of the setback, I worked hard and got my license. Now I am selling properties in the area and have the added benefit of living with an Attorney who also knows Real Estate, my hubby. I hope to serve the clients I get with the same positive outlook and hard work ethic with which I lived the rest of my life. I believe in karma, that if I’m good to people, they will be good to me.
